Yupy is an in-store audio platform for physical venues — restaurants, hotels, shops, salons and gyms. It creates and schedules the music and audio announcements of each location, with no hardware and no one on staff having to touch it.
As co-founder and CTO, I own the product vision and the technical architecture: a multi-tenant platform organised around organisations, establishments and zones, with role-based access, device management and weekly scheduling.
Playback has to be always on. The player runs as a web app / PWA and as an Android app built with Capacitor, with device heartbeat, playback telemetry and operational analytics to keep real-world deployments healthy.
On top of it sit AI-assisted playlist creation, audio ad campaigns and an AI assistant, plus the discovery, demos and pilots I run with retail and hospitality businesses.

Engineering goals
Music in a venue is only noticed when it stops. The goals were reliability first — playback that survives flaky networks and reboots — then a scheduling model simple enough for a shop manager, and a multi-site structure that scales from one café to a retail network. Everything else, from AI playlists to announcements, is built on that foundation.
